HUNTRAK is a passive, receive-only, detection-only system. It listens — it never transmits at the threat. It is designed for lawful passive operation, subject to applicable deployment and equipment requirements, and it keeps the focus where it belongs: giving your team earlier awareness and a clear record.
Regulation is moving the same way. Under the FAA’s proposed Part 74 framework, facilities seeking UAFR eligibility would need the ability to receive broadcast Remote ID — directly or through a contracted service. HUNTRAK is designed to support the monitoring capability that framework contemplates, and we filed comments on the docket. The rule is proposed, not final: HUNTRAK is not FAA approved or certified, and no regulatory outcome is guaranteed.
For organizations responsible for more than one location, a distributed airspace-monitoring configuration is in development for multi-site operators — the same awareness layer, sized for a portfolio.
